Dealing in themes of work and the working-class experience, Labor opened in 2009 with the aim of examining the consequences of capitalist structures through a repertoire of work by artists from around the world, among them Héctor Zamora and Jill Magid. Four of the gallery’s five yearly exhibitions feature a specific artist, while the fifth focuses on the future and new ideas. The gallery is housed in Enrique del Moral’s 1948 residence, whose extensive library is open to the public. (Keep in mind that it’s closed on Sundays, so plan your visit accordingly.)
