Something of a style icon for New York women who live south of Union Square, Maryam Nassir Zadeh opened her eponymous boutique in 2008, the same year she launched her coveted in-house line of 90s-inspired shoes. Maryam’s merchandising is heavily inspired by that of her grandmother’s boutique in 1970s Tehran, and features potted palms as well as numerous items displayed on the floor. The designers available reflect Maryam’s personal wardrobe; expect ready-to-wear from Bless, Marni, Vetements, Visvim, and Casasola, as well as pieces from Maryam’s namesake, elevated-bohemian range. The store is also a popular destination for indie-jewelry addicts, who pop in regularly for designs from Charlotte Chesnais, Lauren Manoogian, and Sophie Buhai.
