Situated in the well-to-do suburb of Jardines del Pedregal, Tetetlán is a cultural-hub-meets-café-restaurant run by a contemporary-art collector named Cesar Cervantes. It’s the ideal place to enjoy an organic coffee after exploring the next-door Casa Pedregal (formerly Casa Prieto), a Luis Barragán structure recently restored by Cervantes to the architect’s original specifications. The photo-worthy space features glass floors with local volcanic rock underneath, as well as coral-pink rafters that nod to one of Barragán’s favorite colors. Take time to peruse the on-site library, filled with donations from Cervantes’s artist friends.
