Established in 2010 and originally located in a very-late-night Lincoln Heights strip mall (hence its name), Night Gallery, now installed in a large Downtown warehouse space, is devoted to displaying and discussing the work of emerging artists. Founder Davida Nemeroff, who met not a few of the artists she represents as an MFA student at Columbia University, imbues the gallery with an underground, artist-run feel, frequently hosting comedy events and poetry readings in addition to solo and joint exhibitions. Artists represented here, many of them women, include Samara Golden, Mira Dancy, Paul Heyer, Anne Libby, Christine Wang, and Cara Benedetto.
