This charming white-brick café in Echo Park, founded by Caitlin Sullivan and Kacie Carter (the latter is a nutritionist who keeps a watchful eye on the menu), serves sustainable, seasonal comfort food free of gluten, refined sugar, GMOs, and vegetable oils. The nourishing breakfast and lunch items are served all day, and include pancakes with caramelized-bananas and coconut cream, and Faroe Islands salmon with smashed Persian cucumber and shaved fennel salad. Honey Hi is particularly recommended for a grab-and-go pick-me-up while strolling Sunset Boulevard. Try the “coconut milkshake” with raw cacao, coconut meat, avocado, banana, dates, and cinnamon.
